It’s always interesting to work with the major players, such as the ERP software company Agresso. Their vast footprint (in more than hundred countries) is impressive. I guess companies like that have learnt some lessons on how to grow and develop their business. Maybe one reason why they stay on top is their ability to chase new opportunities. Now, we at mBricks work together with Agresso prototyping mobile solutions.

We started working with them this spring, and during the summer they finished a prototype on a quite simple, yet powerful use-case: A dashboard with KPIs (key performance indicators) for project managers and executives. The user can choose what KPIs to monitor. The prototype shows indicators such as level of invoicing and sales. The dashboard is an application that will run on most mobile phones, like other mBricks based apps.
In fact, I think that’s a very unique selling point for mBricks: You can spend a couple of weeks on prototyping and it will run on hundreds of handsets. As long as you stick to the mBricks framework, prototypes will work as smoothly as finalized applications. This allows you to improve the application by focusing on usability and functional capabilities. Fragmentation and security are taken care of by the framework.
I’m excited by the value this application will give to the users of Agresso. When on the move, they can monitor their business performance and communicate the KPIs to their colleagues. It will be interesting to see how this project is taken further. Stay tuned …

The only requirement is that the phone supports Java ME, MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.0
